There will be an additional charge because the two groups would necessitate the use of an overflow camping area. The charge is about $300 more than last years $250 but still cheaper than the alternate cost of our second choice site. We can have it all to ourselves on May 5-7. I'll keep working with the park to nail down the details. -- PCEB -- -----Original Message----- From: camporee-bounces at bsatroop113.org [mailto:camporee-bounces at bsatroop113.org] On Behalf Of dajimster at earthlink.net Sent: Thursday, January 19, 2006 12:22 PM To: camporee at bsatroop113.org; jdoherty at veldaandjoe.net; JHaight at dhs.ca.gov; jackpfeiffer at gmail.com; junkyardjoe at msn.com; bromtilly at yahoo.com; sean at zalunardo.com Subject: [Camporee] next camporee meeting The next camporee meeting will be on Feb 1st. I do not have a POC. Schabarum has truly screwed us -- they wouldn't take our reservation because we were "too big", they gave It to a smaller group and then they said if we paid more (approx $300 more) we could share (not our first choice). They seemed open to letting us have the same place we had last year and moving the other group down to the overflow (we were the larger group, we were the repeat group, we were the ones that got screwed == we get first choice). I don't believe we could legitimately move the date and I wouldn't recommend advertising our location troubles outside the Committee. They are currently checking with the other group to see if they are willing to move to the 1st week of May and how they want to combine the space with us. -- pceb -- -----Original Message----- From: Haight, John (DHS-MCOD-LOS) [mailto:JHaight at dhs.ca.gov] Sent: Thursday, January 19, 2006 4:44 PM To: dajimster at earthlink.net; camporee at bsatroop113.org; jackpfeiffer at gmail.com; junkyardjoe at msn.com; bromtilly at yahoo.com; sean at zalunardo.com Cc: Rod Zalunardo (E-mail); Wes Ryan Patterson-OA (E-mail); Frankie Melvin (E-mail); Bennett Pauline Subject: RE: Schabarum Park Jim -- Rescheduling an event such as a district camporee is not a simple affair because so many people and units are involved and many have made schedule commitments in their programs counting on the projected district calendar as being correct.
