Jim --

Rescheduling an event such as a district camporee is not a simple affair because so many people and units are involved and many have made schedule commitments in their programs counting on the projected district calendar as being correct. May significantly effect attendance.

It is a problem. I look forward to the responses of the other committee members, especially the district connected ones, such as Wes, Frankie and Rod.

You are right that this needs to be acted on immediately and arrangements finalized.

(How large is the other scout group? What is the arrangement -- are we considered "overflow" and will suffer from a poor location -- on the side that steep hill? Lots of questions whose answers could shade a decision that may even necessitate looking at other options than Schabarum.)

Subject: Schabarum Park

I would like to get some input before the next camporee meeting. Schabarum park has agreed to host our camporee again this year. However, on the weekend we would like to hold the camporee, another scout group has reserved it. We can still share the park though. We can also get Schabarum park on the weekend of May 5-7 and have it to ourselves. My question is, do we want to share the park and hold our camporee on the weekend of April 28-30, or do we postpone a week, and have the park to ourselves?
