Please do not respond to this email, you will only get these
instructions sent to you again. Hello from the Greg The Tent Guy,
Thank you for responding. I have confirmed that about 4,000 tents, of
about 8,000-10,000 tents, are here in the Santa Clarita Valley. The
remainder are stuck on a truck somewhere in Arizona and should arrive
before the weekend. I have taken a sampling of what has arrived and
most are almost new. Actually, some are brand new in the original
packaging. The same as the last 4,500 I have distributed in the past.
*Tent Info* Size: Three Man dome tents, One door, two or three
windows. Included: Tent, Fly, 3 Poles (two for tent, 1 for fly), tent
bag. Stakes may or may not be included. Color: Blue & Grey or Green &
Grey The tents have been used for resent cancer walks tent cities and
have been cared for very well. On average, they have been used for
about 6 nights each. And I mean nights. Here is their usage on an
average night: Tents erected by event staff during the afternoon
Participants arrive in evening, open tent, close tent, crawl into
sleeping bag, sleep In morning: open tent, leave Tent packed by event
staff. Some, a very few, have a little more ware to them. If youre
worried that you may get a bad one, just take a couple of extras for
spare parts. *Transportation & Processing WE NEED MORE HELP
!!!!!!!!* Transportation For those of you that have volunteered to
help move the 4 x 4 x 4 totes (1,200 lbs each), please arrive as
early as possible. 6:45 am would be best. But as early as possible.
What does Processing Mean? Because the event staff knew that these
tent were not going to be used again for their events, they were a
little lazy about packing them up again. So we need to go through and
make sure all of the parts are included. Here is a little math for
you: 5,000 (Tents) Times 6 (Minutes to unpack & pack each tent)
30,000 Divided by 60 (minutes or 1 hour) 500 man hours Divided by 4
(7am-11 am) 125 (number of people needed for processing) *WE NEED
HELP!!!!!* *Time and Location* Date: Sunday, October 30, 2005 Time:

Many of you have sent me emails suggesting that we donate the
un-distributed tents to the victims of the recent earthquake in the
Middle East/Asia Region and to the hurricane victims. We are making
arrangements for this. Thank you for your suggestion. Please do not
respond to this email, you will only get these instructions sent to
you again. If I missed something, or you REALLY need to contact me,
send me an email WITHOUT THE WORDS tent, time or truck in the subject
line. I have filters that will send this letter back to you again if
you use these words. Thank you and Enjoy, "The Tent Guy" One last
thing, We're collecting NEW unwrapped toys for the Los Angeles City
and County Fire Departments "SPARK OF LOVE" toy drive for the
holidays. Please fell free to drop off a NEW unwrapped toy when you
come by. Greg Bassé
