P.S. However, moving 16-year-olds BACK down to the regular troop at this point I think will not be conducive to keeping them in the troop. For boys who have been hanging out in Transition for some time, I propose you give them a deadline for earning their rank in order to stay with the seniors. I feel that if you "demote" them back to the younger group, they may quit.

Subject: [Committee] Proposed New Senior Patrol Requirements
I would like to get input on these proposed changes to joining the Senior Patrol. These changes are a result of the Committee meeting:
1.. Be at least 14 Years Old
2.. Be at least Star Rank
3.. Pass a Scout Skills Test on Tenderfoot through First Class Requirements
4.. Be a Patrol Leader for at least 4 months
5.. Scouts only transferred to Senior Patrol in September and February
6.. Eliminate the Transition Patrol
These changes would go into effect February 1, 2007.
Please let me know your thoughts and email replies to me and Patti or I will forward them to everyone else.
Erik
