This looks like an excellent project.  However, one thing is unclear to me:  will all the volunteers have to be trained by the Tree People, or just Chris?  If the former, it might be difficult to get volunteers to sign up for two stages, i.e. training and planting, particularly if the training will take place during August, when a lot of people are away.  Also note that the troop's Philmont trip will take place during much of August.

If it is just Chris who is to be trained, then he can supervise the volunteers.  Assuming this point is clarified, I approve.
