[Eagleprojects] Fwd: Proposal

In answer to Peter's question; usually the Tree People will train Chris who
will then act as supervisor for the project. They will also provide one or
two of their trained staff to help on the day of the planting.
Peter's question raises a couple of my own. Does Chris realize that there
is more than just a single check to make sure that all will proceed without
a hitch? Often the city of LA will change directions in mid stream and he
should have a contingency plan (just in case). Also, who will be
responsible for the cement cutouts (should they be needed)? Does Chris plan
to do a follow-up on the planting to make sure the trees are doing well?
(He may want to include some instructions in his flyer to the homeowners on
how to care for the trees.)
Overall, I think Chris has found a good project and one that will serve the
community well.
Take care,
Bruce

This looks like an excellent project. However, one thing is unclear to me:
will all the volunteers have to be trained by the Tree People, or just
Chris? If the former, it might be difficult to get volunteers to sign up
for two stages, i.e. training and planting, particularly if the training
will take place during August, when a lot of people are away. Also note
that the troop's Philmont trip will take place during much of August.
If it is just Chris who is to be trained, then he can supervise the
volunteers. Assuming this point is clarified, I approve.
