Sent from my Samsung Epic? 4G -------- Original message -------- Subject: Eagle Project Write-up Date: Mon Jan 23 00:20:54 PST 2012 From: Daniel Feifer To: "Erik Mayer, Scoutmaster" > The Goal of this Project is primarily to refurbish the image of the YMCA by recreating the front area of the building. Culver-Palms Family YMCA has agreed to this project and has asked for certain aspects of the project be done in a certain way. This will be a two day project occurring on sequential weekends that will progress as so. On the first day my team and I will dig up and clear out all of the unwanted shrubs and grass in the specified area, as well as working on the construction of a picnic bench, which will be placed in a clearing that is already made. For the second day my team will plant flora, finish the picnic bench, and create a more appealing eating are. There are four main parts to this project. Part one, is clearing the front are of the Y. If you don?t know what it looks like, it is probably because there is really nothing to look at. So the goal for this specific part will be to clear everything that is un-wanted, by making sure that we dig deep enough to get rid of all the roots. While there are people digging, another group will began to build a picnic table. This is part two which is to create a picnic area, in front of the Y. There is space for the table, all I need to do, is to create a suitable place to eat. I plan to have this take both days to complete. The most influential piece would be a path that has the words from the Ragger's Creed. The Y has this program that asks individuals to question themselves to become better people. So I plan to plan posts with the words from this poem so people can the walk this path and actullay take in hopefully a greater meaning of life. Finally the planting of flowers will be based around using less water, while still having a nice image. Some websites such as BeWaterWise.com try to provide trees, shrubs, and flowers that need less water to survive. I will use this website and others to provide the plants that will work with what I plan to do. This Project will only need two days of physical labor, and until that day comes, I will be searching and asking for donations that will allow me to complete this project within a two month period. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
