We got into Emerald Bay around 4 PM on Sunday. It took 2 hours to unload the boat and the barge. We ate dinner around 6 PM and then had the waterfront demonstration and Round Robin.

The boys then settled into camp around 8:30. They set up camp and played card games.

Today the Scouts took their Swim Checks after breakfast and then went to their Merit Badge Classes. A lot of the Scouts had second thoughts about the Merit Badges they wanted to do. I had to use the computer here to update the merit badge schedules for those Scouts. Mostly, Scouts that found out they were going to get wet and those that had 5 merit badges were the ones who made changes.

Tuesday after breakfast, we will be hiking to Parson's Beach to spend the day at the beach. We will swim, eat lunch, and hike back in time for a shower and dinner.

I was impressed today that some of the Scouts volunteered to take a shower. Tyler Golden actually raced to the shower in an attempt to be the first one to shower, but someone beat him.

If you are going to send mail to camp, do so now. It takes a few days to get here. You can also e-mail me or your Scouts at erik at bsatroop113.org and I will give them your messages.

Erik
