Please let me know if I need to bring a lunch for Saturday. Let me know who the Grubmaster is and how much to pay. Also, Ethan Wolfson is planning on going on the campout, but could not attend the Troop meeting. Please get food for him. I also need to know who was appointed APL. Erik Mayer Via Blackberry From evndave at comcast.net Mon Jan 23 14:55:31 2006 From: evndave at comcast.net (Evlynne & David Householder) Date: Sun Nov 5 03:59:35 2006 Subject: [Flaming Dragons] Patrol meetings on 1/23 & 2/14 Message-ID: <001301c62056$f8b92f80$88117f18@hsd1.ca.comcast.net> Flaming Dragons: While we are clearly the front-runners in the race for Ugliest Patrol Box award, I'm not sure that's a prize we really want. The next time we will need the patrol box is at Camp Firestone, March 25-26. There are three patrol meetings prior to that weekend, including this Tues. (1/23) and 3 weeks from then on 2/14. I'd like to devote a substantial amount of these two meetings, at least, to fixing up the patrol box. I believe there's extra grub money in the patrol acct. to cover costs. This week, we'll take everything out to be cleaned up or thrown away and put on a list for replacement items. We will also work on paint prep and priming, which will include painting and also some use of tools (which might be quite educational in this age without Shop Class!). If possible, please bring safety goggles -- and wear old clothes (I'm waiving the Class B req'mt for just these two weeks). We will also take some time to discuss ideas for the final appearance, which hopefully will take advantage of our best artistic talents. Everybody will be given an assignment to have finished by 3 weeks later, on Feb. 14. At that meeting we will paint the box -- as well as finalize our inventory of its contents. Any leftover details can be completed at the 3/14 meeting, so that at Camp Firestone, we will be the undisputed leaders in the [fill in current slang for best]-est Patrol Box category. Please make every effort to attend these patrol meetings. Thank you. Dave Householder, patrol advisor. P.S. Whoever has the stove (and hopefully you know who you are) keep it until 2/14 and bring it back sparkling clean! It sure would have been nice to have had it this weekend at Lake Casitas, but we managed to get by without it. Thanks again to Janice Safoyan, who came more prepared than any of the scouts. (How's that motto go again?) -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
