[Philmont 2007] Philmont Planning meeting Minutes

The meeting was held at the scout hut on Saturday, August 12 at 1pm.
   
  The following were in attendance:

  There was a general discussion on gear and what to expect at Philmont. it was decided that Wednesday meetings will be to discuss these topics in detail.
   
  The first crew meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 6 at the scout hut from 7:30-9. 
   
  So far, two day hikes are planned for Saturday, September 9 and October 7. The locations will be decided later. The rest of the calendar will be planned at  Wednesday night meeting, Carolyn's input is requested.
   
  Carwash to help pay for Philmont is Sunday, September 17 from 9-2pm. Pre-sale tickets will available 2 weeks prior to event. $5 for cars and $7 for vans. Patti will print and distribute the tickets. Money from pre-sale tickets will go directly into scout accounts, if he does not help the day of the carwash he will receive 50% of sales and the other 50% will be divided amonst the scouts that fully attend the carwash. Any sales or donations made the day of the carwash will be divided amonst the scouts in attendance. If it goes well there willbe another carwash.
   
  The next installment is $245 due by Friday, September 22. PLease mail your payment to me at 4249 Revere Place Culver City, CA 90232. Make your checks payable to BSA Troop 113. The following scouts need to submit $295: Divakar Singamsetty and Charles Back.
   
  Jason Groves agreed to coordinate the transportation (train). The earlier it's booked the better the price.
   
  I think that covers it. If i left out anything you think should be added please post it to the whole group.
   
  The PLC planning meeting was held yesterday. The junior troop is going on their backpacking trip November 18-19 to Musch Camp. They will be taking the easier 1-mile route but there is a 5 mile alternate route if the group is interested. We can decide later. They might also be requesting your help when they are going over backpacking at a troop meeting.
