Subject: [Seniors] Your Support Is Needed

Seniors-

You are one of the Troop's most valuable resources. You have learned Scout 
skills and advanced in rank in part because of the support and teachings of the 
older Scouts who helped you out when you were new. It is your turn to give 
back to the Troop. Most of you are assigned to one of the Junior Patrols to help 
them with advancement during Patrol meetings. The Patrol Leaders should be 
calling you, but you can call them too and offer assistance.

You are also needed at some Troop meetings to help run stations. Anthony is 
having difficulty getting Seniors to show up and show up on time to assist at 
Troop meetings. It is very frustrating and creates problems running the Troop 
meetings when people do not show up. I am aware that you guys are busy with 
school and other activities and get sick sometimes. If you are one of the Seniors 
that are not showing up or are late, please make an effort to be on time and 
help out. Please be responsible and notify Anthony with as much notice as 
possible if you cannot make your commitment.

You are being given Leadership credit for being a Troop Instructor. Your 
obligation to receive Leadership credit requires you to assist your assigned 
Patrol and assist at Troop meetings on occasion. If you do not fulfill this 
obligation, you will not be given credit for Leadership. I have instructed Anthony to 
write up any Seniors that say they will help out and do not show up.

If you have any ideas on how we can improve things, please let me or Anthony 
know.

You are very important to the success of the Troop.

Seniors,
Please be sure to find drivers for Camporee.  I can transport a few of you but not all.  Departure is 6:30 p.m. from the scout hut on Friday, April 29.  Pickup is at 10:30 a.m. out at the Schabarum location.  Maps to the site will be available at the scout hut.  Please bring your gear to the Tuesday troop meeting preceding the camporee, as there will not be room for all your gear in the vehicles.

This Wednesday's meeting will be Camporee Practice at 7:30 pm. I hope that 
everyone will cooperate and stay on task during the practice. If you are going 
to Camporee, please bring your gear to load into the trailer and $15 for 
Camporee and $20 for food.
