Subject: [Seniors] Car Show Waivers

Seniors who are volunteering at the Car Show on Saturday, May 10, need to get a signed waiver signed by their parents.

We are meeting at the Car Show "command center" at 1:25 p.m. on Saturday.  The Car Show folks will give us access to their VIP area and some free snacks in return for our volunteer work.  The command center is the RV parked across the street from Trader Joe.  Parents, please make sure your scouts bring their signed waiver along with them.

After the car show we are going to Griffith Park Observatory.  Cost is $7.  We should have the scouts back to the scout shack by about 10:00 p.m. or earlier.

Hi All:

I received a call from the Culver City Elks regarding their flag retirement ceremony on Flag Day, Wednesday June 11th.  They have graciously invited any Scouts who may be interested in participating in a dinner and a flag retirement ceremony.

The Elks are very supportive of our Scouts.  In the past, they have offered their space on Washington Place for various events, including the Philmont car wash fundraiser last summer.  They are always open to holding our events there and have extended their facility to us on more than one occasion.

I feel it would be nice for community relations for some scouts to participate and I'd like to get at least 4 committed.  They will feed you dinner, always a great incentive.

Again, the event will be Wednesday, June 11th beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Class A uniform required.
