They also have to decide which of their items they send with him. We have him stay alone for an hour or two then send him through the tunnel alone. If he makes it to the end, there will be some food items. He can decide to eat all of the food himself or save it for his group. The rest of the group will be sent through the tunnel later and find him at the end. Another idea is to have a "dead Body" be found in each group's area with clothes and items they can take and use.
